Here's Where All The 'Love Is Blind' Couples Stand Today
"Love Is Blind" has seen many couples stick together — but also many call it quits either on the show or shortly after.
Like “Temptation Island,” Netflix’s “Love Is Blind” is dedicated to seeing how strong of a connection two people can have when they meet under unique circumstances. But like any reality TV dating show, people who shared an initial connection together often find themselves fizzling out either before or after the cameras stop rolling.
“Love Is Blind” puts a unique spin on courtship, forcing singles to connect in separate pods where they’re not allowed to see each other until after they decide to get engaged. After that, they’re allowed to meet and cameras roll the entire time as they see if what they had when they were just talking in the pods can translate to a real-world relationship.
While there have been several duos who ultimately split, some have managed to make it work. To help curious viewers keep track of the many “Love Is Blind” relationships that have developed over two seasons, below is a rundown of where each couple stands today.
Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton
One of the success stories to come out of Season 1 was Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton. The duo followed the show’s path and connected in the pods before ultimately getting engaged and even saying “I do” by the end of the season.
As for how their relationship fared after the cameras stopped rolling? They thrived. Not only are they still going strong, but they’ve used their celebrity status to launch a joint YouTube channel where they offer insight into their lives and give relationship advice. They also co-authored a book titled “Leap of Faith” that details their love story and gives “Love Is Blind” fans some behind-the-scenes insight.
Amber Pike and Matt Barnett
This duo got engaged on the show but ran into a rough patch when it came to figuring out their respective finances. Fortunately, they were able to work past it and got married in the finale and continue to have a strong relationship to this day.
Still, their lives aren’t completely without drama. According to Insider, they had a lot to dodge during the “After The Altar” special, specifically when it came to avoiding interactions with Jessica Batten, a fellow “Love Is Blind” single who briefly had a connection with Matt and wanted to get engaged.
Diamond Jack and Carlton Morton
After sparks flew in the pods during the first part of the show, these two never made it to the altar. Outside of the pods, their relationship barely lasted a day after he confessed to her that he is bisexual. That led to an explosive argument where she accused him of hiding something big from her. The fight ultimately ended in an engagement ring being thrown across the pool at their Mexico getaway.
The two made attempts to reconcile but those ultimately didn’t pan out. They addressed the situation in the reunion and seemed to land on cordial terms, but they won’t be getting together romantically any time soon. Their relationship seemingly lived and died all within the confines of Season 1.
Giannina Milady Gibelli and Damian Powers
After getting engaged, the two were happy to meet each other in real life and built on their connection. However, cracks immediately started to show as they began to fight more and more. In dramatic fashion, Gibelli left Damian at the altar and ran away from the wedding into the woods while sobbing.
At the reunion for Season 1, they revealed they were giving their relationship another shot. However, that didn’t pan out either. Now they’ve both moved on with other reality TV stars.
Jessica Batten and Mark Cuevas
This couple thought they could make their 10-year age gap work, but they couldn’t. She ultimately decided to end things on their wedding day and they went their separate ways.
Fortunately, they both recovered from the breakup quickly. In May, she revealed she’s engaged to her new fiancé, Dr. Benjamin McGrath. Mark, meanwhile, welcomed two boys with his new wife, Aubrey Cuevas, who he married in September.
Kelly Chase and Kenny Barnes
This couple connected early on in the pods but quickly realized there was no real passion or romantic connection between them once they were finally allowed to meet in person. In the end, Barnes left her at the altar and PEOPLE reports he allegedly ghosted her after the show stopped filming.
While she now has a podcast and a successful business, he is married to someone else.
Jarrette Jones and Iyanna McNeely
Season 2 saw Jarrette Jones pop the question to Mallory Zapata. However, she rejected him. After that, he explored his connection with McNeely, who was understandably worried she was his second choice.
Despite their concerns, they said “I do” on the show — but things didn’t last. In August, they released a joint statement on social media announcing their plans to divorce.
“After much thought, we’re saddened to share that we have separated and will begin the process of divorcing. While we have love for each other, our lives are going in different directions, and that’s okay. Coming to this decision was far from easy and we will always wish each other the absolute best,” the statement read.
Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson
These two were one of the few couples from Season 2 who went through with the marriage. In fact, they decided to get engaged after just one episode in the pods.
They stuck it out for a year before E! News reported she filed for divorce. Since then, both have released separate statements explaining why they decided to end the relationship. He implied that what people saw on the show wasn’t necessarily the reality of what was going on between them.
She echoed those sentiments in a statement of her own, but neither has shed much light on exactly what led to them finally deciding the relationship was over.
Shayne Jansen and Natalie Lee
The duo seemed like they had a very special connection on the show and like they were going to make it all the way to marriage. However, they revealed on the day of the wedding that a fight before had forced them to end the relationship.
According to a post on Netflix’s website, the duo has previously said they wish each other well and have great love for both each other and the experience. However, rekindling their romance is not in the cards.
Salvador Perez and Mallory Zapata
This couple clearly had issues in the lead-up to their big wedding day. While they shared a connection, it was clear (particularly to Mallory’s sister) that they were not right for each other to the degree two people need to be to get married.
They realized it themselves at the altar. After exchanging vows, they agreed to not actually go through with the marriage while respectfully leaving the door open for reconciliation in the future. However, during the reunion, they revealed that a casual coffee date did not lead to anything more between them, according to Elle.
Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee and Deepti Vempati
Despite his many obvious shortcomings, this couple made it all the way to their wedding day before Vempati finally decided to end the engagement and leave him. The writing was on the wall before that, though, since he constantly doubted his physical attraction to her and, let’s face it, had some pretty old-fashioned ideas about relationships.
Meanwhile, she had some sparks fly with fellow Season 2 alum Kyle Abrams, but that ultimately didn’t work out either.
Kyle Abrams and Shaina Hurley
This one seemed doomed from the get-go. Hurley accepted Abrams proposal despite obviously still having feelings for Jansen.
She left Abrams during their vacation in Mexico only to return and bring him home to their parents. That also didn’t go well. It became clear that their values were incompatible, specifically with regards to their religious beliefs.
After the breakup, he started a relationship with Vempati but that didn’t work out either. Today, they both seem single.
