Love Island USA's Serena Page and Kordell Beckham Are Official
Serena let fans see inside her romantic dinner date in Santa Monica, teasing a "surprise at the end" of the video.
Love Island USA Season 6 winners Serena Page and Kordell Beckham just took their relationship to the next level by making it Instagram official.
In a Tuesday, August 6, 2024, Instagram Story cited by People, Kordell, 22, announced the pair’s status as a bona fide couple after going out to dinner. Of course, he tagged Serena, 24, so there was no mistaking where they stood one month after their Love Island USA victory.
“I just asked her out, y’all, and she said yes!” Kordell proudly proclaimed before jokingly stating, “Somebody help me.”
It’s just another win for Kordell following his and Serena’s success on the No. 1 reality show streaming this summer, but it didn’t come without its wrinkles. Fans will recall that, although Kordell and Serena were coupled up early on in the show, Serena found Kordell “disrespectful” after he flirted with a chance at love with fellow Islander Daia McGhee in Casa Amor.
Luckily, it’s all water under the bridge at Love Island USA, and now Serena and Kordell are stronger than ever.
Kordell and Serena are boyfriend and girlfriend
Kordell wasn’t the only one to make their blossoming love an official thing. Serena also took to TikTok to share the happy news with her 1.5 million followers. In Wednesday’s video, clocking in at 8 minutes and 15 seconds, Serena gave fans a glimpse into her romantic dinner with “my man my man my man,” teasing a “surprise at the end.”
At the 1212 Santa Monica restaurant (known as the “Twelve Twelve”), Serena and Kordell started with a round of cocktails. Aptly enough, Serena ordered the lychee love nest martini while Kordell got the soul ties sangria. Hamachi and fresh oyster appetizers were soon served as Serena kept filming.
“Nice and fresh,” said Serena after they leaned in close and slurped the aphrodisiacs.
They giggled through the night while enjoying more small eats and rating new cocktails, including the fire pit passion, the victory guava spice, and the dock.
For the main course, Serena got the filet mignon with truffle mashed potatoes and a side of beef skewers. Kordell dug into his lamb tagliatelle before Serena could properly present his dish for her followers.
Later in the evening, to fans’ delight, Kordell clasped a sparkly Y-shaped necklace around his date’s neck.
“He asking me out,” Serena told the camera.
They celebrated with cake sparklers when dessert came, downing shots after the lights went down. Back home, Serena kept the camera rolling as they snuggled close to one another on the couch.
“Hey, guys, the most important part of the date we left out was….,” Serena began.
“I asked her out,” Kordell continued.
“He asked to be my boyfriend,” Serena said into the camera. “I said yes!”
Life after winning Love Island USA
Kordell, who lives in Dallas, Texas, and Serena, who lives in Los Angeles, knew the challenges of a long-distance relationship even before they were crowned the Love Island USA winners. In one of his confessionals on the series, Kordell said he was willing to move to L.A. to be closer to Serena.
He doubled down on his comments after their Season 6 win.
“I have decided that I will move out there in the same state that she is in, the same city as well, so we can get closer and really build this connection and bond that we have so we can grow for real,” said Kordell. “So, I’ll be moving to L.A. soon.”
Serena previously told People.com that she didn’t think distance would be “an issue.”
“Distance is not an issue,” Kordell echoed. “I can make a move, I can make it happen.”
It’s the happily ever after the world so desperately needs.
