When did Temptation Island Season 5 premiere?
Starting on June 14, Temptation Island Season 5 is bringing the passion, drama, and a roller coaster of emotions as four new couples — including the first-ever engaged couple — head to Kona, Hawaii, to put their love to the test. With all the couples at a critical point in their relationships, the pressure heats up as they are joined by 15 sexy single men and women looking to find everlasting love. Each couple must decide whether to commit to a lifetime together or if they will ultimately give in to the temptation from the singles looking to find “the one.”
What's new in Temptation Island Season 5?
This brand new season kicked off with a new style of mixer, in which the couples mingled with the singles who will be dating their partners, resulting in intrigue and tension as they each size up the potential competition. And as if that weren't adding enough of a dramatic new twist this season, a "Temptation Light" will be added to the houses, and when it glows it signifies that someone in a relationship has fallen into temptation, but the couples won’t know if it’s their partner or someone else in the house.
Temptation Island and new dating show The Big D are part of USA’s Wednesday night "Hump Day" programming line-up. New episodes of both Temptation Island and The Big D will be available next day on Peacock!
Back in October, host Mark L. Walberg announced on social media that he, the new couples, and the singles were currently on the island filming what promises to be the most exciting season yet. He released a brief video on Facebook as well.
“What’s happening, Tempties? It’s Mark Walberg," he said at the time. “Guess where I am? That’s right, Season 5 is happening right now as we speak. Here I am, on ‘Temptation Island.’ We’re just getting started. It’s going to be great. So, I’m glad you’re here. I’ll try to give you as many sneak peeks as I can as long as they let me.”
While Mark wasn’t able to show off the details we were all pondering at the time, the above video provides fans' first look into the new season. However, in November Mark did post a photo on Instagram of what appears to be the production crew, whom he refers to as family.
In February, a fan tried to tempt the information out of Mark on Twitter by asking when the new season is coming.
He replied, “look for it this summer" but stopped short of giving any firm date. Luckily, we now have one.
New episodes of Temptation Island premiere every Wednesday on USA Network at 9 PM ET/PT followed by The Big D at 10 PM ET/PT.
You can catch up on Temptation Island Seasons 1-4 on Peacock now and watch new episodes of Season 5 next day.
