'Season 5, It's Poppin!': Mark L. Walberg Reveals 'Temptation Island' Is Filming Now
Mark L. Walberg revealed he's currently on "Temptation Island" with the new crop of curious couples and hopeful singles.
“Temptation Island” fans have been waiting to hear if a new season is underway. We have good news: The show is coming back for Season 5 on USA Network and the drama is unfolding as we speak. Host Mark L. Walberg announced over the weekend that he, the new couples, and the singles are currently on the island filming what promises to be the most exciting season yet.
The host, who has been with the show since its original run in the early 2000s, took to Facebook over the weekend where he revealed Season 5 is officially underway in Hawaii. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to show any of the villas, the couples, or the sexy singles there to tempt them into something new. However, he did promise to show curious fans a lot more behind-the-scenes content throughout the filming process.

“What’s happening, Tempties? It’s Mark Walberg,” he begins in the brief video. “Guess where I am? That’s right, Season 5 is happening right now as we speak. Here I am, on ‘Temptation Island.’ We’re just getting started. It’s going to be great. So, I’m glad you’re here. I’ll try to give you as many sneak peeks as I can as long as they let me.”
He concludes: “Anyway, mahalo and enjoy. Season 5, it’s poppin!”
Although there’s no premiere date yet, fans of the reality dating show are the closest they’ve been to new episodes since Season 4 wrapped up in dramatic fashion in May. For those unfamiliar, “Temptation Island” takes couples who have been together for awhile but are sitting at a crossroads in their relationship. To help them decide if they should take things to the next level, the couples are separates them by gender into two idyllic villas filled to the brim with singles hoping to lure them away from their current relationships.
It takes a robust casting process to find the right people at this specific place in their relationship ready to put pressure on their bond in this grand reality TV experiment. Fortunately, there’s no shortage of people looking to go on an island getaway and break into the world of reality TV.
