‘He Embarrassed Himself’: Ashley Explains All The Rules Lascelles Broke On 'Temptation Island'
Ashley Rodriguez broke down every rule she and Lascelles Lagares had before coming on "Temptation Island" that he ignored.
As Lascelles Lagares continues to take his infatuation with Trace Winningham to new levels on “Temptation Island,” his girlfriend of seven years who he came to the island with, Ashley Rodriguez, laid out all the ways he violated their pre-show rules on the last episode of the “Temptation Island After Show.”
Although Lascelles has said time and again that he is in love with Trace and wants to leave the island with her, as their experience in the villa draws to a close, she is exhibiting some doubts. Ashley, while watching the latest episode, notes Trace’s apprehension should have been a glaring red flag to Lascelles.
“I can’t blame anybody but myself,” Lascelles says while watching Trace get skittish on their overnight date.
As he contemplates the full extent to which he got carried away with his feelings for a new person, Ashley lays out the rules she and her boyfriend had going into their experience — all of which he pretty much broke.
“It was to not have sex with no one, obviously, and then, two, to not have any of the guys and girls sleep in our bed. So he clearly broke that rule,” she explains.
She goes on to lament that, despite seeing Lascelles had moved on from her so quickly, she tried to remain faithful to those rules. This meant she turned down an invitation to get intimate in the same bed as her island crush, Blake Blumenshine, on their overnight.
“And then I remember Blake, he asked me, ‘Oh, Ash, do you want me to sleep in bed with you or do you want me to sleep in the other room?’ And I was like, ‘You can sleep in my bed as long as we have that boundary and don’t do anything I would regret.’”
Ashley adds: “I feel like now I should have done something different at the overnight date because Lascelles clearly took his journey to another level.”
As he does, Lascelles tries to explain the logic behind his actions to the guys, noting that he looked at it all as a test to see if he could make it work long-term with Trace.
“Obviously, I wanted to use all the time I could to ensure that the decision I would be making would be the right one,” he explains. “Then I guess I could make an ‘educated’ decision when I face Ashley.”
How does Ashley feel about that?
“He embarrassed himself more than he embarrassed me,” she concludes.
But will she be able to forgive him and move on from his behavior with someone else on the island? Will Lascelles even want to make it work with Ashley now that he (somewhat) has Trace? Fans will have to tune into the final episodes of “Temptation Island” to find out.
