What Makes The Big D Hosts JoJo Fletcher, Jordan Rodgers Perfect for the Show?
The Big D hosts JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers bring a unique perspective to the show since they met on a dating show.
Hosted by Bachelor Nation dating show success story JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers, The Big D invites divorced couples into a tropical villa where they will pursue a second chance at love either with their ex or the other divorcees in the house. Some of the romance hopefuls are looking to rekindle while others are eager to find a connection elsewhere. The hosts spoke with USA Insider about their reaction to learning the premise of the show and why they're a unique fit for it.
“[It’s like] everyone’s first reaction. The what,” Jordan began.

JoJo told USA Insider when the idea was presented to them, they were engaged and didn’t know how they would be of value to the show.
“We took a step back and realized that we met in a very unique situation on reality TV, on a dating show. Neither of us have been divorced so we can’t speak to that,” she explained. “I think there’s a lot of things that drew us to this concept because divorce isn’t talked about. It’s a little bit taboo and has a negative connotation, but we all have friends and family, you know, both of my parents went through a divorce before they met each other."
The ultimate thing that drew the couple to the show was the idea of showing that there’s light after the darkness of divorce.
“I loved the part of this show that kind of showcases the hope after heartbreak and there’s a lot of breakthrough moments that you see with people where they are finally getting that closure and finally opening their hearts to a healthy, new relationship. It’s kind of like a second act in life,” said JoJo.
Jordan had a different perspective about coming from The Bachelorette and winning JoJo’s heart.
“Look, you’re dating in front of your ex. I had to sit there and watch JoJo date 25 other guys, so I was able to provide some good insight about how tough that is when you’re falling in love with someone to date somebody else,” he explained.
Just like JoJo and Jordan found love on a dating show, hopefully the ex-couples on The Big D can find love again with the help of relationship expert, Dr. Jada Jackson and the experienced hosts guiding them along the way.
The Big D premieres on June 14 at 10 PM ET right after new episodes of Temptation Island as part of USA’s Wednesday night "Hump Day" programming line-up. Catch up on past episodes on Peacock.
