WWE Superstars We'd Like To See Go To Family Therapy
Family feuds are nothing new to the WWE Universe, but which Superstars could benefit from family therapy?
WWE is no stranger to familial drama. Historically, wrestling has been somewhat of a family business with fathers and mothers passing on the sport to their kids, creating factions, and sticking together throughout the WWE landscape. Families such as the Anoa’is, the Harts, and the Von Erichs paved the way for the industry to become a family business and modern WWE is no different.
Today, we can still find families creating successful stables and teams like The Bloodline or like what Dominik and Rey had before their relationship soured (we’ll get to that later). Families fight too and modern WWE has its fair share of family feuds.
Outside of WWE, rival family members don’t usually meet in a squared circle with a steel chair to settle their differences. One common way “normal” families solve familial issues is through family therapy, a form of talk therapy where all or affected members of a fighting family discuss their issues and how they can amicably solve them. While looking at today’s WWE roster, it’s clear to see that fighting in the ring has not solved anything. So, who could use some family therapy? Let’s take a look.
The Bloodline
Where else would this list start than at the very top of the WWE mountain? Roman Reigns has been the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion for nearly 800 days, but that probably couldn’t have happened without help from his cousins, The Usos and Solo Sikoa, and the honorary Uce, Sami Zayn. While The Bloodline sometimes functions like a well-oiled machine, there are major rifts in the family at the moment, most potently surrounding Jey Uso and Sami Zayn.
In mid-2021, Reigns made peace with Jimmy and Jey even after a brutal and violent feud that saw Reigns destroy his own cousin. With the family unit formally in a group, the three stars starting calling the faction, “The Bloodline.” With the recent additions of Solo Sikoa and Sami Zayn, the group has only gotten more powerful. However, Jey has been more than hesitant to accept Zayn as one of their own. Jey particularly has issues with the fact that Zayn is not blood-related.
The tension within the group is almost unbearable to watch and we think a round of family therapy would greatly help The Bloodline sort out their problems, especially Jey and Sami. In addition to the riff between Zayn and Jey, Reigns seems to be the boss and anything he says goes. Nothing seems healthy about the dynamic between The Bloodline. Group therapy for the stable could go a long way into helping The Bloodline’s relationship become healthier and more reciprocal.
Bray Wyatt
While Bray Wyatt and his followers are technically not blood-related, some members of the WWE Universe would argue that they are even closer than some real families. As insane and creepy as Wyatt’s return has been, we need to bear his past in mind and acknowledge that prior Wyatt family members have left in worse condition than when they entered the family.
With the cryptic QR codes still continuing despite Wyatt’s return, everything points to a second coming of the Wyatt family. Whether it contains some of the original members like Erik Rowan, or new members is yet to be seen, but it’s clear that Wyatt has already done some recruiting in his short time back in WWE.

Alexa Bliss is a great example of what can happen when one gets too wrapped up in Wyatt’s teachings. Bliss enjoyed great success in WWE as a singles competitor, however, she was slowly pulled into Wyatt’s family through his feuds with Braun Strowman and Randy Orton. Eventually, Bliss became codependent with Lilly the doll, a character from Wyatt’s funhouse. Bliss actually needed to attend weeks of therapy after Wyatt’s WWE release in order to break free of his influence and perform on her own again.
Before things get out of hand this time around, we think Bray Wyatt could benefit from family therapy so he can learn how a healthy family dynamic works. Wyatt’s families have always resembled cults more than family units, but maybe a round of therapy can help focus his newest group's sites on something positive.
Rey and Dominik Mysterio
The rivalry between Rey and Dominik Mysterio has been one of the most heartbreaking WWE feuds in history. The first-ever father-son Tag Team Champions were in the midst of feuding with Judgment Day when Dominik shockingly turned on his own father at Clash At The Castle and aligned himself with Priest and company. Since then, Dominik has consistently sided with Judgment Day and helped them beat down his own father.
This tandem could obviously use family therapy as they were one of the most beloved tag teams in wrestling before the unthinkable turn happened. Their relationship seemed extremely close, so for Rey and the WWE Universe, the turn came as a shock. Dom and Rey had the potential to be a great team, so hopefully a round of family therapy can not only save the team but their relationship as a whole! Rey is so heartbroken over the situation that he actually informed Triple H last week that he was leaving RAW and going to SmackDown to avoid having to fight his son. The emotional feud has come to a boiling point, but it doesn’t need to be that way.
