After bringing a demon baby into the world in the premiere episodeScare Tactics is onto the next prank. And in Episode 2, some big-time WWE Superstars are being put through the wringer.

How to Watch

Watch Scare Tactics Fridays at 10/9c on USA Network and next day on Peacock.

Because on Scare Tactics, no target is off the table, including WWE Superstars The New Day, who find themselves at the heart of a paranormal occurrence during a run-of-the-mill promo event with fellow Superstar Cody Rhodes.

When USA Insider spoke with Monkeypaw Productions President and Scare Tactics Executive Producer Win Rosenfeld, we had to get the lowdown on working with Cody Rhodes and The New Day (aka Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods).

How do horror movies and professional wrestling fit together?

"Let me put it this way. People always say, 'Oh, god, I don’t know how you work on horror movies! They’re so scary, that’s so dark,'" Rosenfeld said.

But horror movie sets are "the goofiest, funniest sets in the world," he continued. "People have a tremendous amount of silly fun. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been on a set with 200 people, everyone’s screaming-laughing, and people are covered in blood and someone’s murdered a child and it’s crazy, right?

"And I think there is something that’s very familiar to me about the WWE Superstars in that they’re out there, they’re doing this every day, they’re doing this epic, grand theater of emotion," he said.

WWE Superstars embody that classic good vs. evil style that horror movies explore every day in their matches, Rosenfeld explained.

Cast of the Thrill Ride prank with The New Day and Cody Rhodes

"These morality tales [are] played out in a very physical, visceral way where they’re really dealing with this hyper-masculinity or this idea of big, bold, almost larger-than-life personas but it kind of reminds me of a horror set!" he said. "Because those guys are so cool and really normal and really humble, grounded, down to earth, and really came to play. We’re very, very grateful to them. Cody was an awesome partner in this. And The New Day were just about the sweetest, funniest people I’ve met."

To find out how Cody pulls off his prank on The New Day guys, tune into Scare Tactics on Friday, October 11.

New episodes of Scare Tactics premiere every Friday night at 10 p.m. ET on USA Network.
