Who Is Liv Morgan? Meet The WWE Superstar Who Guest Starred In 'Chucky' Season 2
Liv Morgan appeared on the latest episode of "Chucky," but here's a crash course on the WWE Superstar for those who aren't familiar.
WWE Superstar Liv Morgan became the latest victim of Charles Lee Ray on the most recent episode of “Chucky." While it was thrilling for fans of sports entertainment to see her cameo on the horror series, many may be left wondering who she is exactly.
The former Women’s Smackdown Champion’s “Chucky” fandom put her onscreen with the killer doll in a moment that ultimately proved to be a gut-wrenching experience for her, literally. After joking during an interview that she’d love to be killed by the infamous killer doll, she got her wish. Despite her grievous wounds, she’ll likely be back on WWE shortly, but it's worth explaining how she ended up as a surprise guest on the show in the first place.
Morgan, whose real name is Gionna Jene Daddio, got her start in wrestling from very humble beginnings. She previously told "The Cass and Anthony Podcast" she and her brothers erected a makeshift ring in the backyard of their New Jersey home when she was young. While she neither recommends nor condones performing wrestling moves without proper training, her passion for the sport took her into athletics.

After spending some time as a competitive cheerleader, Morgan signed with WWE in 2014 as part of the NXT brand. Her time there saw her sticking to her New Jersey roots, which to her means never backing down from a fight. Eventually, that grit and determination led her to make her debut on SmackDown, where she immediately took on some of the most dynamic female Superstars dominating the business at the time.
Often referred to as the Four Horsewomen era of WWE, the ladies' division was made up of fan favorites Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Bayley. At the time, Morgan took pride in breaking onto the scene without the legacy families those women had.
"Coming into this business, I realized very soon that I was coming into the era of Four Horsewomen," she told "Bleacher Report" in July. "I wasn't that. I wasn't a generational Superstar, I didn't have anyone famous in my family. I definitely wasn't the chosen one by any means, but my fans kind of put me in this position where they made me undeniable in a sense just because of how supportive they've been and how they've propelled me to keep going and keep fighting."
And fight she did, all the way to the 2022 Money In The Bank event. In what was perhaps her biggest career turning point to date, Morgan battled several other Superstars to climb the ladder and snag the coveted briefcase, which she wasted no time cashing in.
Later that night, she cashed in on current SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, putting the former UFC fighter through a table, defeating her, and becoming the women’s champ herself. She held that title for 98 days until she was narrowly defeated in an Extreme Rules match. While the WWE world waits to see what she does next, if there’s one thing Morgan has proven over the years it’s that she always gets up after getting knocked down … Or, in this case, stabbed through the stomach several times by Chucky.
Watch “Chucky” every Wednesday at 9/8c on USA Network and SYFY.
