Logan Paul Addresses Roman Reigns Loss & Injury At Crown Jewel On His Podcast
"It was a hell of a match. That guy's tough," Paul said on the latest episode of his "ImPaulsive" podcast.
After falling just short of dethroning Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel last Saturday and almost capturing the WWE Undisputed Championship, Logan Paul received word that he will be sidelined for a number of months after suffering a torn MCL, ACL and Meniscus during the bout. Although Paul isn’t cleared for in-ring competition, one thing he doesn’t have to take a break from is his social media empire. The Maverick held the first episode of his “ImPaulsive” podcast since returning from Saudi Arabia, and he took the opportunity to address his loss to the Head of the Table for the first time and gave a little bit of insight into what it feels like to finally lose.
Like them or not, the Paul brothers are immensely successful, and not just on social media. Both Logan and Jake have been excelling at their separate physical jobs of professional wrestling and boxing with only one combined loss between them.
"We just came back from Saudi Arabia, WWE Crown Jewel. I faced Roman Reigns, the face of WWE for the title, the Undisputed Universal Championship and it was a hell of a match. It was a hell of a match. The guy’s tough. They [Paul’s podcast co-hosts] got dragged over the barrier. It’s because they handed me the phone that I filmed myself frog splashing Roman through the table and honestly bro, I’ll take that L on the chin because I don’t care. I don’t care because that video was f*****g awesome," Paul explained.
The match itself has been highly praised by the WWE Universe and WWE legends alike. Not only did Logan’s younger brother Jake get involved, but his podcast co-hosts did as well. Paul elaborated on how he feels like he might have lost the match because he was trying to save Jake from Solo Sikoa and how he was able to get his co-hosts cleared to wrestle.
"I don't know how to say this. I lost. Actually, I do know how to say it because I've said it a lot before ... But I would argue for the WWE fans that I only lost that match because I was trying to save Jake's life," he continued, “Disclaimer, these guys [George Janko & Mike Majlak] didn’t actually break their necks or legs. The WWE made them do physicals and all the tests necessary to get them cleared to participate in the match in Saudi Arabia. The loss still hurts but we thought this would be a funny gig but we do want to say that they’re absolutely fine because the WWE does take care of their athletes.”

Paul’s co-hosts, especially Majlak, didn’t quite buy his reason for losing, but respected Paul’s efforts nonetheless. "I'll tell you why you lost the fight. Because that big, broad-based man, Roman Reigns, is a better fighter," he said.
We wish Logan a speedy recovery and want him to know that there’s no shame in losing to the Tribal Chief, who has now held the WWE Title for more than 800 days.
