Triple H Admits To Not Knowing Who Logan Paul Was When He Signed To WWE
“The opportunity to take it in a direction it’s never gone before is massive. I’m thrilled for that opportunity. We have an unbelievable team."
Just hours before his second WWE match ever and epic clash with The Miz at SummerSlam, Logan Paul sat down with Triple H on his "ImPaulsive" podcast to discuss WWE’s new direction, preview SummerSlam, and even talk a little bit about his own career in the ring.
Triple H began his guest appearance by praising Logan Paul for adapting to the world of professional wrestling so quickly.
“You’re a crazy good athlete that has picked this [professional wrestling] up like that. That is not easy to do and I’ve only seen it less than a handful of times," the newly named Head of Creative for WWE said.
The two continued with Triple H giving Paul advice and reminiscing on his own career — including his rivalry with The Rock — as well as highlighting successful celebrity guests in WWE in the past such as Floyd Mayweather and Bad Bunny. Although Triple H admitted that he “had no idea” who Logan Paul was before signing him, he said he's excited for the opportunity to take WWE in a new direction.
“The opportunity to take it in a direction it’s never gone before is massive. I’m thrilled for that opportunity. We have an unbelievable team," Triple H said.
Before the podcast ended, Paul shared his goals for his WWE career. More than anything, he wants to be a compelling character who attracts fans from all over the world.
“To hook people that are not normally invested in WWE, and then get them invested with the rich nature of the stories and characters, I think that’s where you guys [WWE] are gonna crush it and honestly, that’s where I would like to help out as well.”
