Here’s the Official Match Card for WWE’s SummerSlam 2024
SummerSlam 2024 can't come soon enough! Learn who will be there ahead of the big event.
The official match lineup for WWE's SummerSlam 2024 can best be described as fully loaded.
The Biggest Party of the Summer will host five championship matches, each guaranteed to keep the WWE Universe glued to their seats at home. (Of course, these clashes will keep fans in Cleveland Browns Stadium on their feet on August 3!)

Here are the top matches fans can expect at SummerSlam 2024 — and why each is as significant as it gets!
Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa
For nearly half a decade, the Undisputed WWE Championship has securely been in the orbit of one dominant faction: The Bloodline. And while Cody Rhodes successfully defeated Roman Reigns at WrestleMania to lay claim to that title, The Bloodline has finally staked their claim to it once again in the form of Solo Sikoa, the heir apparent to the Head of the Table.
At SummerSlam, "The American Nightmare" will face his most formidable challenger yet. And as any member of the WWE Universe knows, facing one member of The Bloodline during a high-stakes matchup means you are facing all members of The Bloodline. Rhodes' first half-year as Undisputed WWE Champion has been a huge success thus far, but everything could end in an instant if Sikoa and The Bloodline figure out a way to cheat Rhodes out of the championship that has defined his career.
As with any Bloodline matches, there's no way to predict what will happen. Roman Reigns — who disappeared after his shocking WrestleMania loss — hasn't been seen on WWE television in months. Is SummerSlam 2024 the time and place where Reigns makes his long-awaited return?
WWE Women's Championship Match: Bayley vs. Nia Jax
Things have gotten extremely personal between Bayley and Nia Jax ahead of their WWE Women's Championship match at SummerSlam, and fans need only to look at their latest interaction on SmackDown (above) for the latest mudslinging.
The story between these two competitors is simple: Bayley is defending the honor of every woman in the locker room by standing up to a bully like Nia Jax. The fearsome Samoan has made a career out of injuring her opponents with her reckless behavior in the ring, and Bayley will do whatever it takes to protect her title from someone who doesn't respect the fans — or the entire wrestling industry — as she does.
Jax steamrolled through the recent Queen of the Ring tournament to earn this title shot against Bayley — and she now has a chance to silence the critics once and for all. For Bayley, SummerSlam represents another opportunity to cement her already impressive legacy with another statement win.
Women's World Championship Match: Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley
If fans think the rivalry between Bayley and Nia Jax over on SmackDown is personal, well, that's nothing compared to the bitter feud between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley on Monday Night Raw.
After injuring Ripley early in 2024 and causing Mami to forfeit her Women's World Title, Liv Morgan capitalized on the opportunity by winning the championship — and also engaging in a questionable "relationship" with Ripley's beau, Dominik Mysterio. For months, Morgan has been galavanting around with Ripley's title and her man — and now Ripley is finally back from injury with revenge on her mind.
Rhea Ripley was one of the most dominant female champions in WWE history before her unfortunate shoulder injury, and now Morgan has established herself as one of the most conniving. SummerSlam 2024 should settle the score between the two ladies inside the ring, but the WWE Universe is likely more concerned with Mysterio himself: Which superstar will he align with at the end of the night in Cleveland?
World Heavyweight Championship Match: Damian Priest vs. Gunther
At SummerSlam, the WWE Universe will receive a definitive answer to the question of whether Damian Priest is a "paper" champion.
After winning the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania via nefarious means (and a well-timed Money in the Bank contract cash-in), Priest is arguably still looking for a statement victory — one that isn't tainted with controversy. His opportunity comes in Cleveland on August 3 against the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time, Gunther.
Now, conventional wisdom suggests Gunther will steamroll through the champion en route to another record-setting title reign. The World Heavyweight Championship has long been viewed as the "workhorse title" thanks to Seth Rollins' lengthy run with it, and let's face it, there's no better workhorse in professional wrestling than the Ring General himself. Still, there's a reason Priest has held onto the title since WrestleMania — the man simply finds a way to win.
In a match where the victor could truly be decided by fate, we are looking forward to this World Heavyweight Championship match the most out of any bout on the card!
United States Championship Match: Logan Paul vs. LA Knight
There hasn't been a WWE Superstar that's enjoyed a wave of popularity over the past year more than LA Knight. Unfortunately, a championship is the one accolade that has eluded Knight thus far — but that can all change at Cleveland Browns Stadium on August 3, when he challenges Logan Paul for the United States Title!
But while Knight has the support of the WWE Universe behind him, there seems to be no stopping Paul these days. The brash YouTube sensation-turned-pro-wrestler has made a shocking ascent to the top of the industry, and he has the prestigious U.S. Championship to show for it.
In a stunning face-to-face contract signing on a recent episode of SmackDown, Paul essentially spit in the face of everything Knight had accomplished in the last year on WWE's main roster:
"You are a gym bro with a spray tan and a catchphrase pretending to be The Rock."
Those are fighting words — and at SummerSlam, LA Knight has the opportunity to do what no other WWE Superstar has been able to do: shut up Logan Paul and take a championship away from him in the process.
Intercontinental Championship Match: Sami Zayn vs. Bron Breakker
It's been a long, winding road to SummerSlam for the Intercontinental Champion and his latest challenger. Although Sami Zayn successfully defended his title against Bron Breakker at Money in the Bank 2024, the loss only made Breakker… angrier. It quickly became apparent to the WWE Universe that Breakker would not take his unexpected loss lying down. The former long-reigning NXT Champion didn't come to the main roster to rack up losses, after all.
Since winning the title from Gunther at WrestleMania, Zayn has been riding the hot streak of a lifetime. Will that come to a crashing end inside Cleveland Browns Stadium? Will Breakker change his strategy from the last time these two Superstars met, when the challenger was pinned after a Helluva Kick that knocked him out cold?
This match is a tossup, and we don't know who will walk out of Cleveland when the dust finally clears.
CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre
It's here. It's finally here. The match the world has been waiting for is finally happening at SummerSlam! The intense blood feud between two of the biggest Superstars in Monday Night Raw's history will come to an explosive head in Cleveland — and fans are chomping at the bit to witness everything unfold. CM Punk has been a thorn in Drew McIntyre's side ever since he made his return to WWE — and vice versa. These two Superstars absolutely despise each other, and we're expecting nothing less than one of the most hard-hitting matches in WWE history on August 3.
To confound matters even further, none other than Seth Rollins will serve as the (hopefully) impartial special guest referee.
It's a story as old as time: McIntyre injured Punk at the Royal Rumble, and then Punk made it his mission to screw over McIntyre and extinguish any hope that Scotsman has of ever becoming champion again. At SummerSlam, they'll meet for the first time in a match for the ages — with, unbelievably, no championships on the line.
After all, when you hate someone as much as these men do, titles are irrelevant.
You can tune in to Peacock to watch SummerSlam 2024 on Saturday, August 3. In the meantime, catch up on all things WWE Universe on Peacock.
