The Miz Claims He Could Beat NASCAR's Dale Earnhardt Jr. 'With My Tesla' – Is That A Challenge?
The WWE Superstar may have gone too far by insulting the NASCAR legend during Monday Night RAW
Mike “The Miz” Mizanin is known for making bold claims about his own abilities in the ring. However, he may have gone a step too far in his latest boast directed at NASCAR legend and “Race For The Championship” executive producer Dale Earnhardt Jr.
On the latest installment of Monday Night RAW, the WWE Superstar seemed to get a bit flustered that the driver, who was a special guest along with Cup Series racer Corey LaJoie, was getting screen time from the crowd while he was in the center of the ring.
“Alright, alright, alright. Get the camera off of Dale Earnhardt Jr!” he shouted. “I could beat you in a race with my Tesla!”
The line immediately elicited boos and jeers from the crowd and was shared by the official NASCAR YouTube channel. Despite the obvious (and let’s face it, absurd) dig, it didn’t dampen the experience for Earnhardt Jr.
He took to Instagram shortly after the show in Charlotte, North Carolina, to talk about how much fun he had and how much it meant to him to see a live WWE show after being a fan for more than 30 years.
“Had a great time at #WWERaw Big thanks to @WWE for the hospitality. Been a wrestling fan since the 80s watching Dusty and Flair on Saturday mornings. Never seen it live. Highly recommend,” he wrote.
Noticeably absent was any mention of The Miz.

For those unfamiliar, Earnhardt Jr. is one of the most popular drivers in NASCAR history and the son of the legendary Dale Earnhardt. Before he retired from racing in 2017, he amassed 26 career victories, including the 2004 and 2014 Daytona 500 races. He is tied for 29th on NASCAR’s all-time race winners list. In short, he’s pretty hard to beat behind the wheel whether you’re in a NASCAR stock car or a Tesla.
Still, this isn’t the first time the gauntlet has been thrown among USA stars. Paul Swan of “Austin Dillon's Life In The Fast Lane” previously challenged The Miz to a bout in the WWE ring. Meanwhile, Chucky recently dropped by NXT where he shared some harsh words of wisdom with NXT Superstars ahead of Halloween Havoc. A war of words is just how it tends to go on WWE.
