The Cavinder Twins Take the "Torch" from Former WWE Superstar Sisters
The Cavinder twins haven't had a match in WWE yet, but they just got a huge stamp of approval from two legends.
Haley and Hanna Cavinder are making their way from college basketball to the WWE ring and they seemingly just got the blessing of two of its biggest and most influential female Superstars, the Garcia twins.
Brie and Nikki Garcia appeared with the former Division 1 athletes and social media stars for a brief TikTok video in which the Cavinder twins dubbed it a passing of the torch from one generation of female, twin WWE legends to another.
“When the Bella Twins passed the torch to us,” the Cavinders captioned the video, using the name the twins went by during their time with WWE.

They captioned the post: “double trouble x2.”
The simple video, which was likely taken at the recent ESPY Awards based on how everyone is dressed, shows the group all dancing together. It’s quite the full circle moment for the younger set of siblings. Shortly after announcing their early retirement from basketball, the duo confirmed they were making their way to WWE for the next stage of their athletic career.
Things were up in the air for a spell but they appeared on BS w/ Jake Paul in May where they not only smack-talked his Superstar brother, Logan, but called themselves “the next Bella Twins, for sure” while confirming their partnership with WWE. While that may have seemed ambitious at the time, it seems the Garcias are on board and giving the Cavinders their blessing to help shape the future for women in sports entertainment the way they did in the early to mid-2000s.
Although they haven’t properly taken on an opponent in the ring just yet, the Cavinder twins are reportedly in training at the organization's Performance Center in Orlando, Florida to make sure they don’t hurt themselves or their opponents (too badly) when they finally throw hands. However, they did make their first appearance during a June installment of NXT. After Thea Hail outlasted all her competition at a battle royal match for the NXT Women’s title, Haley and Hanna were the ones to hoist the Superstar up on their shoulders to celebrate. Could they already be aligning themselves with the NXT Superstar?
Hopefully, fans won’t have to wait long. The twins told USA TODAY Sports, at the ESPYs that they’re planning to make an appearance at another WWE event very soon. Is SummerSlam 2023 too ambitious for the newcomers? If you ask Logan Paul, he’d likely say “no.”
Meanwhile, the Garcia twins are hard at work on their own endeavors. Most notably Nikki, who will return alongside Blake Shelton and Carson Daly for another round of bar games and smack talk when the USA original series Barmageddon returns for Season 2.
