After shattering multiple records, such as surpassing Robbie Fowler this season to become Liverpool’s all-time goalscorer, it’s impossible to not consider Salah one of the best players of his talent-stacked generation. Where did Mo Salah’s wife Magi Salah grow up, and how did they meet?
Born in 1994 in the village of Basion Gharbia in Nagrig, Egypt, according to Sportskeeda, Salah’s wife’s original name was Magi Sadeq. When did Mo Salah marry his wife Magi Salah, and do they have kids?
After exclusively dating since childhood, Salah and Sadeq tied the knot Dec. 17, 2013 back in their village of Basion Gharbia in their hometown of Nagrig, Egypt. As a devout Muslim, Magi strictly observes the practice of wearing the hijib, the head covering that is worn by 90 percent of women in Egypt. According to The Sun, Magi and Salah heavily participate in events around the Muslim calendar, and the happy couple returns to Nagrig every year during Ramadan to spread their wealth through charitable giving in the community.
Magi and Mo share two kids, Makka and Kayan Salah. The generational talent was playing for Chelsea at the time when Makka was born in London in 2014. In celebration of her birth, the overjoyed parents named her after the holy Islamic town of Mecca. Nearly nine months after Liverpool’s shocking 4-0 victory against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final, the Salah family grew as the parents added Kayan to their brood in 2020.
What does Mo Salah’s wife Magi Salah do for a career?
An accomplished student in both high school and at university, Magi Salah earned her degree in biotechnology. Unlike many Premier League WAGs who use their status and lifestyle to drive their social media, Magi tries to avoid the spotlight as much as possible, so not much else is known about her other than she’s a doting mother and highly supportive of her talented beau. She can often be found in the stands, proudly cheering for Salah as he powers the Reds to victory.

While Klopp’s squad is out of striking distance from capturing a 20th Premier League title this season, the boys of Anfield still in contention for a top-four spot, which would guarantee a spot in next season's UEFA Champions League, largely due to Salah’s stellar playmaking as of late. The Egyptian striker has netted seven goals in his last eight matches and, with the Reds facing eighth-placed Aston Villa and league-worst Southampton in their final two matches, there’s plenty of time for the scoring machine to work his magic and add a few more to the tally.
