The Miz Says His Daughter Will Win 'Dancing With The Stars' Mirror Ball Trophy In Adorable Post
The Miz competed on "Dancing With The Stars," and his daughter is carrying on his legacy on the dance floor.
The Miz’s time on “Dancing With The Stars” continues to have an impact on the Mizanin household. The couple revealed their oldest daughter, Monroe, has officially taken her first step toward being on the show herself someday.
Both Mike and Maryse Mizanin took to Instagram Tuesday where they showed off a series of adorable images of little Monroe dressed in her ballerina outfit ready to learn the basics at her very first dance class.
“Look who started dance classes. Monroe is ready to take home the mirrorball,” a proud Miz wrote in his post.
Maryse also shared a collection of images of her little girl as well as a brief video of Monroe and other future ballerinas doing some stretches at the dance studio.
The post comes weeks after both Mike and Maryse revealed to USA Insider that the WWE Superstar often brought his dance practice home with him, and his girls took notice.
“‘I want to dance! I want to dance, Dada!’” Mike said, imitating Monroe and Madison.
Maryse explained the girls love music and marveled at watching their dad on the show. In fact, even when he was eliminated from the competition, the family dance parties stayed.
“It's always at 9 p.m., they're back up from their beds and want to dance in the kitchen. They're running and dancing around,” she said. “So we do that. We do that now for 15 to 20 minutes every night since Mike did ‘Dancing With The Stars.’”
Although it has meant taking an extra 15-20 minutes per night of exercise before the girls are ready to sleep, Mike said it was all worth it for his girls to see him accomplish something and want to try it themselves.
“I mean, I think the coolest part about it is, and Maryse mentioned this, I was debating whether to do ‘Dance With The Stars’ because I knew the work it's going to take,” he explained. “And I'm not a dancer, you know, that's scary. And Maryse said, ‘Think about the girls. Think about how much work you're going to put into this and then think about when you look at the finished product and you did it, you did something you weren't good at. You worked at it and then you went out there and did the best you possibly could. Don't you want our girls to see that and actually be able to do it?’”
For those unfamiliar, The Miz enjoyed a respectable run in the competition series alongside professional partner Witney Carson that ultimately ended with him in ninth place after narrowly scoring lower than Jojo Siwa and Jenna Johnson after dancing to Queen’s “Radio Ga Ga.”
You can catch up on the first two seasons of “Miz & Mrs” on Peacock right now and watch Season 3 on USA Network.
