Carson Daly Reveals Surprise Birthday Celebration For Him And Blake Shelton
The two "Barmageddon" stars were surprised backstage at "The Voice" to celebrate their birthdays.
Blake Shelton isn’t the only “Barmageddon” star celebrating a birthday this week. Carson Daly took to social media to reveal that the team at “The Voice” threw him and Shelton a surprise birthday party that included a delightful surprise from his wife.
The host of the reality singing competition turned 49 on Wednesday, and the coaches on the upcoming season of “The Voice” weren’t about to let the day go by without a celebration for their longtime friends. Daly took to Instagram on Thursday to share that he and his “Barmageddon” co-star were surprised backstage with a cake and decorations by none other than Gwen Stefani, John Legend, and the new coach for Season 22, Camila Cabello.
In addition, Daly’s wife, Siri Carson, revealed that she’d flown in from across the country just to spend the big day with him and his work friends.
“Thank you to my @nbcthevoice family for celebrating my birthday & @blakeshelton’s yesterday at work,” Daly captioned a series of pictures of the small celebration. “Also to my wife @siriouslydelicious for shocking me by flying across the country for less than 24 hrs to spend it with me.”
Daly also seized the moment to welcome Cabello to “The Voice” family.
“Love you Shout to our brand new coach @camila_cabello for immediately becoming family & crushing it on the show! Can’t wait for you all to see it in Sept! The talent is maybe the best I’ve ever seen so far,” he concluded.
The pictures included a group shot of the whole gang looking happy to celebrate the duo and best friends. There was also a shot of just the birthday boys grinning to the camera. The third photo was of Siri smiling at the camera followed by a final photo of the spread, which included cookies, a little champagne, and, of course, a white and gold cake that read, “Happy birthday Blake and Carson.”
Over the weekend, Stefani captivated fans when she surprised Shelton on stage at one of his concerts with a cake and led the crowd in singing “Happy Birthday” to her husband of almost one year to celebrate his 46th birthday.
