'My Poor Baby': Nikki Bella Reveals Her 'Biggest Challenge Yet As A Mom'
Nikki Bella shares almost 2-year-old son Matteo with longtime partner Artem Chigvintsev.
Nikki Bella is excited to face challenges as the host of the upcoming competition series, “Barmageddon.” However, the WWE Superstar recently revealed that she faced her greatest challenge yet when her almost 2-year-old son caught a nasty stomach bug.
Bella shares Matteo Artemovich with her longtime partner, Artem Chigvintsev. To celebrate the holiday weekend Nikki, Artem, Matteo, as well as her sister Brie’s family, took a vacation to Lake Tahoe. Unfortunately, it was far from fun in the sun for the little kiddo.
Speaking on the latest episode of “The Bellas Podcast,” Nikki revealed that their trip was marred by Matteo catching a “really bad stomach bug,” according to "People."
She said her “poor baby” ended up feeling sick just a day and a half into their vacation. Since he’s so young, the new mom explained that she hasn’t had to deal with him being this sick in his life and called it one of the most difficult things she’s ever faced as a mother.
“This has been the biggest challenge yet as a mom. It makes you so emotional and you break down. Like we're having so much fun [on vacation], why did this have to happen?" Nikki said. "But to see your little one in so much pain, and you can't do anything..."
Brie, who has a child the same age as Matteo and has a 5-year-old as well, warned her sister that this won’t be the last time she has to nurse her child back to health.
“Because you think we'll get through this and it'll never happen again, and then it'll happen again," Brie cautioned.
Fortunately, it seems the worst is finally behind Nikki’s son. Unfortunately, the vacation is over. On Wednesday, she shared a series of images of Matteo finally enjoying himself at Lake Tahoe but noted that it was their very last day.
The good news, though, is that he’s doing better and Nikki overcame her greatest parenting challenge yet. Hopefully, the experience will help her coach people through significantly more fun challenges when she acts as the host for “Barmageddon” on USA Network alongside Blake Shelton and Carson Daly.
