WWE SmackDown Is Officially Coming Home to USA Network on Friday Nights in 2024
USA Network will officially be the home of SmackDown starting in 2024.
Fans of WWE can rejoice because USA Network is going to be the official home to one of its most popular televised shows when SmackDown officially joins the channel in 2024.
On Thursday, WWE announced that it and NBCUniversal had agreed to a five-year domestic media rights partnership that will bring Friday Night SmackDown back home to USA Network beginning October 2024. That’s right, WWE fans can tune into USA Network on Fridays to see all their favorite Superstars on the SmackDown brand like John Cena, Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, and Rey Mysterio.
That’s not all! As part of the new deal, WWE will produce four primetime specials per year that will air on NBC, marking the first time that the brand has aired on the network in the coveted primetime slot. These specials will begin rolling out in the 2024/2025 season. Meanwhile, Peacock will continue to play home to all of WWE’s premium live events.

In other words, there will be but one place to go for all things WWE and that’s NBCUniversal.
“NBCUniversal has been a tremendous partner of WWE for decades,” WWE President Nick Khan said in a press release. “We are excited to extend this longstanding relationship by bringing SmackDown to USA Network on Friday nights and look forward to debuting multiple WWE special events annually on NBC.”
“It’s a privilege and thrill to continue NBCU’s decades-long partnership with WWE which has helped cement USA Network’s consistent position as the top-rated cable entertainment network in live viewership,” added Frances Berwick, Chairman, NBCUniversal Entertainment. “With Friday nights on USA, primetime specials on NBC, and the WWE hub on Peacock, we’ll continue to use the power of our portfolio to super-serve this passionate fanbase.”
Friday Nights on USA Network are about to become one of the most electrifying nights in sports entertainment when SmackDown comes to USA Network. Currently, it’s the No. 1 show in the 18-49 advertising demographic, and WWE fanatics will be able to watch all the action now that their favorites are coming home to USA Network. Fans won’t want to miss a second of the action as their favorite Superstars continue to clash with one another for titles.
