Sword-Wielding Drew McIntyre Confronts Roman Reigns, Leading To Dramatic Brawl On WWE Raw
Roman Reigns and The Usos were ambushed by RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre, upping the stakes for their upcoming six-man tag team match at WrestleMania Backlash.
WWE and Universal Champion Roman Reigns and The Bloodline showed up in style to kick off Raw Monday, but they soon found themselves in the middle of a chaotic melee.
The show began with an intro by Paul Heyman, as Reigns and The Usos confidently occupied the ring.
“If The Bloodline recalls correctly, and The Bloodline is never wrong, this is the part of the show where I am entrusted to say, ‘Ladies and gentleman, welcome to Monday Night Raw.’”
He then told viewers in the crowd and at home to stand up so they could “revel in the greatness of your ‘Tribal Chief.’”
Reigns nodded proudly as the crowd cheered but the moment didn’t last long. Heyman passed him the mic, but the champion only had the chance to say his trademark “acknowledge me," before RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle) snuck into the ring, quickly taking down The Usos, leaving Reigns isolated and vulnerable.
Then, RK-Bro called Drew McIntyre to the ring. The Scottish Warrior appeared, menacingly wielding his claymore sword "Angela," as Reigns looked on nervously. McIntyre entered the squared circle (after dropping off "Angela") to face down Reigns before the fists began to fly.
McIntyre had Reigns cornered in the ring, but the champion's family had his back. The Usos flew back into the ring, followed quickly by RK-Bro, leading to a six-way brawl that WWE officials could only subdue during a commercial break.
When the show returned, the action had calmed, but for how much longer? The six will officially face off at an upcoming tag team match at WrestleMania Backlash.
