Blake Shelton, Carson Daly Reveal Why They Wanted Nikki Bella To Host ‘Barmageddon'
Nikki Bella won the hearts of fans as the host of "Barmageddon," but why did she even want to do the show? Here's a hint, Carson Daly and Blake Shelton may have had something to do with it.
Hosting "Barmageddon" may not be WWE Superstar Nikki Bella's first time in the spotlight on TV, but it is the first time she's had the opportunity to showcase her obvious showmanship and charm, but that's not why she accepted the gig.
"Barmageddon" is all about celebrities, partying, wild games and good music. All terrific things that Bella is adept at moving along with the hype and attitude only a WWE Superstar can achieve. Alongside Ole Red's host with the most is country artist Blake Shelton and resident bartender Carson Daly there to hype up all of the shenanigans.
As fans of her previous work will know, Bella loves a good time. So when she got the offer to host "Barmageddon," she was immediately drawn to the good time that would be had by all.

She was right. In an interview with KTLA, Nikki said “Barmageddon” was the most fun thing she has ever done in her life. Plus, co-stars and creators Daly and Shelton knew she would be the perfect fit for the show.
Bella interviewed the guys for E! News and they spilled the beans on how she ended up the one and only choice for the show. The duo revealed they talked for 20 minutes after initially speaking with Bella about the opportunity.
“Blake and I told the powers that be, 'hire her, that is it. The show doesn’t happen without Nikki Bella.'" Carson told her in the interview. "Because you encompass everything that we wanted to achieve on this show."
Blake added that they didn't even bother talking to anyone else about being on the show after that conversation. The rest, as they say, is history.
In addition to having a good time filming the show, Bella told E! News in a separate interview that felt like “Barmageddon” was a show offering the kind of good time everyone should have in their life right now.
“I feel like it’s something that’s so needed on TV, to get these celebrity guests in to compete against each other but in a fun environment, a bar environment with Blake and Carson.” she told the outlet on the red carpet.
If you simply can't get enough of Nikki Bella and you've already binge-watched all of "Barmageddon" (twice?) you can get more of her fun-loving personal life in the new E! series "Nikki Bella Says I Do," which chronicles the preparation for her wedding to "Dancing With The Stars" professional Artem Chigvintsev. We wonder if she will take anything she’s learned from hosting the games on “Barmageddon” and have it at the reception.
