Season 5 will take place in Fiji with an all-new group of singles searching for love in a villa with tropical views.
Throughout their stay, the Islanders will face challenges, temptations as well as twists and turns with host Sarah Hyland guiding them along the way.
Where is Fiji?
Fiji is a country in the South Pacific and is made up of more than three hundred islands. It is known for rugged landscapes, palm-lined beaches and coral reefs with clear lagoons. According to the Fiji Tourism website, the islands are known for being happiness experts. That makes it the perfect place for the Islanders to find love in the villa.
How does Love Island USA work?
A quick rundown, Love Island USA is a game that is fairly simple. A group of singles enter the villa and are immediately paired off into couples based on their physical attraction to one another. After that, they must show their partner that they really are into them because if someone chooses to cut ties with them or they find themselves uncoupled, they can be sent home from the villa.
New tempting hot singles enter the villa over the course of the show to lure people into exploring new love options. Islanders are put through various challenges to test their connections, so they can prove to the viewing audience that they are truly in love. The viewing audience gets to vote on their favorite couples and will have the final say in which Love Island couple will take home the $100,000 cash prize.
Where Have Past Seasons of Love Island USA Been Filmed?
Each of the Love Island USA seasons has filmed in various locations. The show started airing in 2019, so the first season of Love Island USA was filmed in Fiji at the Villa Takali. The villa is in Pacific Harbour. The second season made its way back to the U.S. and was filmed in Las Vegas due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Islanders were on the strip at The Cromwell because, what goes on in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
The third season took place in paradise in Hawaii at the Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo on the Big Island. The fourth season was filmed at Dos Pueblos Ranch in Santa Barbara, California. The Casa Grande building on the ranch served as the villa on Love Island.
So, the new season is going back to its origin in Fiji, and we cannot wait to see the tropical backdrop for all of the steamy hookups and heartbreaking breakups that are bound to take place in the villa.
