Stream These 5 Reality Competition Shows Ahead of The Anonymous' Premiere
If you’re looking for strategic reality competition shows, these five series will keep you on your toes!
The Anonymous, USA Network’s upcoming reality competition show, sees a dozen people competing for a prize of up to $100,000 while attempting to hide behind a veil of anonymity to strategically get an edge over their opponents. They can lie, scheme, strategize, and tattle without anybody knowing it’s them doing the bad-mouthing — but if another competitor pieces together who is doing the pot-stirring, their game's over.
The Anonymous premieres on Monday, August 19 at 11 p.m. ET/PT on USA Network, but if you’re looking for strategic reality competition shows, you don’t need to wait until then. These five shows will gladly identify themselves, and they’re all streaming on Peacock.

The Traitors
Alan Cumming hosts The Traitors, arguably the latest show to enter the pantheon of truly great reality TV series. Based on a Dutch series of the same name, The Traitors gathers reality TV-all stars — including veterans of shows like Survivor, The Real Housewives, Big Brother, The Real World, Bachelor and Bachelorette, Below Deck, Love Island, and more — to play a high stakes game somewhat like Mafia in a castle in the Scottish Highlands.
The majority of the 20 or so contestants are “Faithful,” working toward a common goal: winning up to $250,000. The three hidden “Traitors,” meanwhile, aim to sow doubt and cause chaos working against the goals of the group. The Traitors is reality TV excellence, showing pros playing at the highest levels of televised strategy.

Deal or No Deal Island
The briefcase-opening game of odds, skill, and chance Deal or No Deal was a sensation in the late '00s. NBC brought it back with a tropical twist for Deal or No Deal Island, which combines the high-stakes gameplay of the classic game show with Survivor-esque strategy and physical challenges that have elements of Fear Factor.
Rather than having contestants play Deal or No Deal one at a time, the Island edition has 13 players all vying to be the last one standing so that they have a shot at playing for the biggest prize in Deal or No Deal history. Hosted by Joe Manganiello, Deal Or No Deal Island is a fresh spin on a classic series. It was recently renewed for a second season.

Temptation Island
USA Network rebooted Temptation Island in 2018 for more steamy, potentially unfaithful action.
Each season of the show brings four couples to an exotic locale where they press pause on their relationships and hang out with willing singles in order to see if their relationship can stand the stress. Will they succumb to temptation or will time apart reaffirm the relationship they were in when they came to the island? Without spoiling too much, let’s just say the track record across the show’s many seasons isn’t great for the existing relationships ... which leads to plenty of delicious drama.

Love Island
Love Island USA, an American version of the British reality series, combines high-stakes elimination strategy with love — or at least the ability to fake it long enough to make it to the next round in the hopes of winning a $100,000 prize.
Dozens of sexy singles gather on the titular island where they must couple up, and as the season progresses the viewers can vote on which couples they like the least, eliminating both lovers and would-be winners from the competition.

Snake in the Grass
USA Network’s show Snake in the Grass can be thought of as The Traitors in miniature.
In each episode, four people — including reality show veterans and an Olympian — must sift through clues in an attempt to determine which of them is the secret saboteur (the "snake in the grass," if you will). If they correctly identify the snake, the other three players split a $100,000 prize. If not, the snake takes it all. It’s a bite-size bit of deception and strategy.
