After That 'Temptation Island' Reunion Bombshell, Does Trace Still Talk To Lascelles? Well...
At the "Temptation Island" Season 4 reunion, Trace Winningham found out Lascelles Lagares had actually hooked up with another single.
One of the deepest connections that was formed on "Temptation Island" Season 4 was the connection between Lascelles Lagares and one of the singles, Trace Winningham. Early on, Lascelles announced to the entire house he only wanted to continue forming a relationship with Trace, and he even told her he loved her. At the final bonfire, he dumped his girlfriend, Ashley Rodriguez, in favor of leaving the island with Trace.
So, it must have been a happily ever after for the two, right? Well, not exactly. Trace and Lascelles explained at the Season 4 reunion they were friendly and trying to figure it out — but Trace was blindsided (as was Ashley) when she learned Lascelles had made out with another single, Alexa Coppola, after their time on the island. And that was all before he visited Trace and hooked up with her! Trace also learned Lascelles had been talking to Ashley still and telling her he loved her. Basically, it was all very, very messy.
In a recent interview with USA Insider, Trace confirmed there is no chance of a relationship between her and Lascelles.
"I don't have any relationship with him. We're not friends. We don't speak. I'm not interested in him or his life. That's the brutal truth. Honestly, as much as I wanted this to be something that turned into a great friendship or maybe, later on in the future, a relationship... I was definitely hurt and heartbroken when I got to the reunion and found out the information I did find out. So to be honest, I look at him totally different," Trace explained.
It was the lack of respect for her feelings that was the nail in the coffin for her.
"The whole journey was crazy for both of us, but I think he totally disregarded our whole experience and all of the things that he put me through emotionally. No, that's just kind of where I'm at. I do not care for him at all," she reiterated.
Trace had previously told USA Insider she was shocked by Lascelles declaring his love for her — and was even a little upset he did it.
"There was no way in hell that I thought that this guy that I've only known for so long was going to declare his love for me. I had no idea... I was definitely not expecting that bombshell. It was really awkward for me, and to be honest, I was a little upset that he did that because it's just like — you just don't blurt out those types of things to people and I just thought it wasn't necessary at all. He could still have been like, 'Hey, Trace, I really like you. Our connection is growing'... but I think that was definitely not one of his finest moments," she mused.
Trace isn't wasting time over Lascelles, though. She said she's in a positive space and very happy with how her life has been progressing.
"I'm still working on my business, and I have a great support system, great friend group ... I'm in a very positive light. I'm happy. I feel like I'm in a place where I'm excited to wake up every day ... My career is going great. My love life is still not existed. But that's OK. I think I'm OK with that," she said with a laugh.
