Suits Creator and Gabriel Macht Honor Late Guest Star Billy Miller
Billy Miller played Harvey Specter's brother, Marcus, on Suits during its run.
The creator and a star of the hit USA Network Original series Suits took to social media to honor late actor Billy Miller, who had a recurring guest role on the series.
Fans of Suits may recognize Miller as the actor who played the brother of Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) in a handful of episodes that gave a rare peek into the high-profile attorney’s past and origins. On Sunday, TODAY reported that Miller died at age 43 mere days before what would have been his 44th birthday. No cause of death was given but the outlet shared a statement from his manager confirming the sad news.

“Emmy Award-Winning Actor Billy Miller died on September 15, 2023, in Austin, Texas. The actor was struggling with manic depression when he died,” the statement reads.
Not long after the news broke, his Suits co-star and its creator, Aaron Korsh, took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share their thoughts on the late actor’s legacy.
“RIP my tv bro #BillyMiller,” Macht wrote. “I am touched by ur thoughtfulness, ur authentic honest approach 2 ur art, ur kind nature & big smile that Litt us all. May ur memory always be a blessing to ur Mother, ur Sister & her children. & 2 so many you’ve touched. Peace&[Love].”
Korsh opted to share a story about an interaction he had with Miller while paying tribute to his memory.
“Very sad news for the entire #Suits family. Billy Miller has passed away,” he wrote. “I flew home once with Billy. We had a great time, bonding over the five hour flight, which seemed like it was over in minutes. A funny, smart, kind, gentle man.”
Miller was first introduced in Season 4 of Suits in an episode that forced Harvey to go back and confront his uncomfortable past. This required him to reconnect with his brother, Marcus (Miller), a sort of black sheep of the family who is battling a gambling addiction. While Harvey is the well-off, put-together brother, Marcus’ struggles force him to do things against his better judgment to get his younger bro out of tough spots. Marcus appeared a handful of times throughout the series going forward in flashbacks and other quick one-off moments.
Although he’ll be recognizable to Suits fans as Marcus Specter, the actor was best known for his recurring roles on soap operas like The Young and the Restless and General Hospital.
