'Start Your Engines!': Nikki And Brie Bella Were Grand Marshals At NASCAR Race
Nikki and Brie Bella were honored as the Grand Marshals for NASCAR's 33rd annual Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR Cup Series race.
Nikki and Brie Bella were guests of honor at a recent NASCAR event and handled one of racing's most important duties with the style and tenacity only the Bellas can bring: The duo were honored as the Grand Marshals at NASCAR’s 33rd annual Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR Cup Series race, which meant getting to say the four most iconic words in motorsports.
It was announced earlier this month that the WWE Hall of Famers and sisters would be on hand at the Sonoma Raceway to kick off a day of racing and competition. At the event, they took to social media to document every second of it. This included posing with some of the race cars, chatting with drivers and, of course, taking the stage and shouting the line that kicks off every race and sends a hyped-up NASCAR crowd into a frenzy.
“Drivers,” Brie begins in a video shared by the Sonoma Raceway’s Instagram account
“Start your engines!” Nikki finishes.
Both Nikki and NASCAR shared a video of the duo introducing themselves at the event. Brie went a step further, sharing a post that showed off all the incredible things they were allowed to do that day on the raceway as Grand Marshals. However, in true Bella fashion, once the race began, the duo stood in the grassy balcony area watching the action unfold on the track while sipping refreshing drinks.
“What a day!!!” she wrote. “I had an amazing time @nascar with @wwe and @thenikkibella Just love the energy of the crowd, the cars and of course Sonoma. Such an honor to be the Grand Marshals!!”
In her Instagram Story, Nikki shared a video of her and Brie actually riding on the Sonoma Raceway with pro driver Kurt Busch acting as their high-speed chauffeur.
Nikki isn’t the only “Barmageddon” star to be given the chance to act as Grand Marshal at a NASCAR event. Blake Shelton, whose Ole Red restaurant in Nashville will play home to the competition series, was Grand Marshal and musical performer at the 38th annual NASCAR All-Star Race at the Texas Motor Speedway in May.
With competition on both of their minds, it’s now up to fans to decide who delivered the “start your engines” line better.
