'Married The Right One': Whitney Dillon Shares Video Of Husband Austin's Impressive Dance Moves
Whitney Dillon shared a video showing Austin Dillon cutting a rug to Shaggy's "Boombastic."
It turns out Austin Dillon can not only find the best groove on the race track but on the dance floor as well.
The “Austin Dillon's Life In The Fast Lane” subject’s wife and co-star, Whitney Dillon, took to Instagram on Tuesday where she shared a fun video of her husband’s dance moves while reminiscing about the early days of their meeting each other and falling in love.
The video shows Dillon in his natural habitat, leaning against his race car and giving an interview to NBC Sports. However, the audio is replaced with a woman issuing a video challenge: “Post a video of your spouse proving that you married the right one,” the voice says.
From there, the video abruptly cuts to Dillon dressed in sweats and breakdancing by a pool, showing off his expert moves and surprisingly loose and nimble form as he cuts a rug to Shaggy’s 1995 classic hit “Boombastic.”
“My baby can danceeee,” Whitney captioned the fun video. “That first night in Kentucky, it was the magic mike dance for me.”
Whitney and Austin met in 2015 and their romance quickly took off. Dillon explained in the past that the moment he felt he finally locked down the professional cheerleader was at a race at Boyd’s Speedway in Georgia where he impressed her family the way that only a NASCAR professional can.
“I actually went back for an exhibition race at Boyd’s when Whitney and I were talking, and her dad came with her brother to watch me race, and we had a really good night there,” Austin previously told Chattanooga, Tennessee’s WDEF News 12 (via Us Weekly). “That’s the night I set the fast time. I took her brother and him in a ride around the track, and that was kind of when I felt like I’d locked in the family… When I talked on the mic that night, I said, ‘Yeah, I’m dating a girl from Soddy.’ Everybody cheered. It was cool.”
One year later they were engaged and a year after that they were married in a lavish ceremony at Childress Vineyards, owned by Austin’s grandfather, the legendary Richard Childress. They have a son, Ace, and just recently allowed cameras into their lives to record what it’s like to be a NASCAR family alongside their best friends, Paul and Mariel Swan on “Life In The Fast Lane.” Fans can only hope that more of his dancing is on display in future episodes.
“Austin Dillon’s Life In The Fast Lane” airs Thursdays at 9:30/8:30c on USA Network.
