Mike and Maryse Mizanin Look Back On Their Funniest Moments Together On 'Miz & Mrs'

In addition to being one of the fiercest couples in the WWE, Maryse and Mike “The Miz” Mizanin are also the funniest. 

Throughout the past two seasons of their reality series “Miz & Mrs,” they’ve been responsible for some pretty hearty laughs either with or at each other. As they prepare to add even more memorable funny moments to their playbook in Season 3, the couple got together to watch and reflect upon some of their most hilarious moments from over the years. 

So, if you’re a “Miz & Mrs” fan (or perhaps just a fan of really large cheese wheels), it’s worth your time to smile as you look back with them.

The Miz Copies Maryse’s Photoshoot

In the first episode of the series, Maryse is “super pregnant” with their first daughter, Monroe. She does a nude maternity photoshoot that her husband crashes to recreate some of her poses — also in the nude. The idea itself is pretty stupid and funny (as they admit in the clip). However, what neither of them was expecting was how funny they’d find it at the moment. 

“I was laughing so hard, I thought I was going to give birth because I was super pregnant,” Maryse says while getting the giggles all these years later.

“By the way, the photo came out amazing,” Mike adds. “It’s the funniest photo we have.” 

He adds: “When people come over and they don’t know the context of the photoshoot and they just see the picture…” 

Maryse notes that her mother, Marjo, typically has the same thing to say when she sees the photo in their home. 

“My mom still makes fun of your butt because she says it’s really flat,” she says.

“It’s not flat, I do squats,” a defensive Miz responds.

Marjo is 'Very French'

Maryse prefaces this next clip by reminding viewers that her mother is a French woman and therefore likes to be nude in the privacy of her own home — or Mike and Maryse’s home, in this case. 

However, she wasn’t as alone as she thought in the episode “Baby’s First SummerSlam” thanks to the power of technology. While they were away, Mike and Maryse were checking in on her via the motion-sensitive security camera in their kitchen. Their goal was simply to make sure she wasn’t feeding their dogs anything they weren’t supposed to have. 

Instead, they get an eyeful while they’re standing with a group of other Superstars and check the camera on Miz’s phone to see Marjo walking around in her birthday suit. Being the proud, body-positive French woman she is, Marjo was undeterred. 

“Your mom didn’t care,” Mike says. “She’s like ‘What? You don’t like what you see?’ No… I don’t want to see my mother-in-law…”

He also notes that the clip is blacked out for TV, which he didn’t have the benefit of at the time. However, even edited, the image is still his least favorite. 

“Even blocked out, I still don’t want to see Marjo like that,” a flustered Miz says. “I just don’t ... My goodness.”

The Cheesy Jokes

In the Season 1 episode “Cheese Wheel of Miz-Fortune,” the couple is hosting their chef friend for dinner. While shopping, Maryse sees a massive, $900 wheel of parmesan and she becomes obsessed with the idea of serving pasta out of it.  

“Whose dream is to have a wheel of cheese?” Mike asks in the video. 

Today, despite their experience, they still can't agree if it was more trouble than it's worth, specifically because it proved to be nearly impossible to cut. 

“It seems like you could just grab a knife and cut it,” Maryse says. 

“It was so difficult to cut this thing. I tried everything. All the knives were breaking,” Mike explains. “Nothing worked. I got everything out and the only thing that worked was the chainsaw.”

In the clip, Mike comes out of the garage with a chainsaw and excitedly uses it to cut the cheese in half, sending flakes of parmesan all over the kitchen. 

“It was worth it,” Maryse says. 

“Was it? It was for you because you didn’t clean it,” Mike shoots back. “I was the one cleaning it!” 

The Miz’s Kicks

When Maryse’s family visits them in Austin in the Season 1 episode “French Invasion,” the Miz struggles at first with having so many people in the house. However, he soon learns the benefits of being a family man when his niece makes him a pair of bedazzled shoes that he reluctantly wears into the WWE ring. 

“I went out there on ... live tv with those shoes,” Mike says in the video. “I used to wear these Pradas that I wore all the time and did fairly well with them.” 

However, despite being hesitant to wear something that was both uncomfortable and slightly unsightly, the shoes helped him earn a victory in the ring, and thus he was able to give his loved one a special moment when he shouted out his new favorite shoemaker from the center ring. 

“They’re bedazzled and, sweetheart, I won in them,” he said at the time.
