Meet DANI, The Anonymous' Sassy A.I. Host & Master of the House
DANI runs the households in The Anonymous, and she's got plenty of knowledge (and sass) to go around.
The best reality shows are so good largely because of great casting. The contestants on the show need to be true characters — unique and memorable players that the audience will grow to love (or love to hate.) The 12 players on USA Network’s The Anonymous look up to the challenge, but the upcoming series has one additional character who might be a secret weapon.
She’s just, well, not exactly “real.”
DANI, which stands for Digital Anonymous Networking Interface, is the A.I. that oversees the physical and virtual worlds where The Anonymous players must compete for the $100,000 prize. Contestants all have their own private underground hideouts where they can strategize, exchange information, and tell secrets or lies from behind a veil of anonymity. Each week, DANI conducts tests in which the players must attempt to match other players with their online handles. Exposure equals elimination.

DANI is more than just an interface, though. She has personality and sass, as seen in the above video. DANI, the “master of this domain,” even takes on narration duties for the preview mid-video.
When one contestant jokingly threatens that he’s going to call his mama to take care of DANI, she snaps back, saying, “Your mama has no authority here.”
She’s giving HAL from 2001: A Space Odyssey if HAL loved mess.
“I was going to ask how you all slept,” she tells the contestants, “but I was watching you all night.”
Delightfully creepy!
A tagline in the video declares “She’s the head of the house and she’s A.I. A.F.” It’s a pretty good line, and viewers will soon learn that the quick-thinking DANI is more than just a basic A.I.: she's got personality and sass for days.
For the contestants on The Anonymous, DANI is the boss.
When does The Anonymous premiere?
The Anonymous premieres with three episodes on Monday, August 19 at 11 p.m. ET/PT on USA Network. Episodes will also air simultaneously across Bravo and SYFY on premiere night and repeat in primetime daily on USA throughout the week.
From there, new episodes will premiere week-to-week on Mondays at 11 p.m. ET/PT on USA Network.
The Anonymous is produced by Studio Lambert. Stephen Lambert, Jack Burgess, Tim Harcourt, Toni Ireland, Stephen Yemoh, and Andy Cadman will executive produce. Diana Focke is the production manager.
