'Love Island' Season 4 Will See The Return Of Alum Mackenzie Dipman: 'A Lot Less Pressure'
Mackenzie Dipman previously appeared on Season 2 where she had a whirlwind romance with Connor Trott. More recently, "Summer House" fans saw her date Carl Radke.
“Love Island USA” is getting another sexy single in the Season 4 villa, but this woman has a leg up on all the rest.
PEOPLE confirmed Tuesday that Mackenzie Dipman is joining the house in Season 4. While she may seem new to some viewers, those who have been watching closely will recognize Mackenzie from Season 2 of the Peacock series, where she had a whirlwind romance with Connor Trott that ultimately ended offscreen.
Mackenzie told the outlet she’s still single even though she never gave up her search for love after Season 2. Now she’s getting a second chance on “Love Island” with the benefit of all her past experience to guide her and the other ladies.
“For me personally, just considering my journey the first time, I feel like we all grow and we change a lot. It's been two years. And I know that the person that I am walking into this experience now, two years later, is going to have a very different experience from the person that walked into the villa the first time," she told the outlet.
She added: “I'm just really excited to enjoy it in a way that I don't think I did the first time. Just being able to just freely experiment, try new things, have fun, meet new people. I think that's just one of the luxuries of getting a little bit older is that you just kind of learn to let go of certain insecurities. I just think it's going to be a lot more fun this time around, a lot less pressure."
The 25-year-old entrepreneur kept things going with Trott after he left the show. However, PEOPLE reported in 2021 their romance ultimately fizzled.
Now, Mackenzie says she is excited to share her wisdom with the other ladies in the Season 4 villa so they can know what to look for in their newfound partners.
"I think that they should just be asking, 'What does your next six months look like?' And 'Do you see yourself relocating if we don't live in the same place? And if not, what is your comfortability with long-distance?' These are questions they need to ask. It's not like, 'Do you want to have kids one day?' Think shorter-term,” she revealed.
After her split with Trott, Mackenzie’s love journey didn’t slow down: She moved on Carl Radke of Bravo’s “Summer House." Season 5 of the hit reality show featured a brief appearance from Mackenzie while she was being courted by Carl during his sobriety journey. The pair's relationship didn't last long though, and he soon moved onto "Summer House" castmate Lindsey Hubbard.
Now she’s single once again and ready to try her hand at the show that got her famous: “Love Island USA.” However, will she find love or disappointment coming into the villa at this late stage?
Fans will just have to tune into “Love Island” on Peacock to find out. New episodes drop every Tuesday-Sun at 9 p.m. ET.
