Who Is 'Love For The Ages' Host Adrienne Bailon-Houghton? What To Know

There are a lot of reasons viewers are binge-watching "Love For The Ages." The reality series, which recently premiered on Peacock, has plenty of drama but also plenty of heart as it depicts three Latino couples in their 30s and 40s who are at a crossroads in their relationships, and have decided to live with younger, sexy singles to finally decide what they want. But it's not just the couples and the singles who have us tuning in: We're also watching for the guidance and commentary courtesy of host Adrienne Bailon-Houghton.

Here's what to know about the "Love For The Ages" host.

Bailon-Houghton is a familiar face to music fans in the early 2000s: She was a member of the girl group 3LW alongside Kiely Williams and Naturi Naughton. They released the hit singles "No More (Baby I'ma Do Right)" and "Playas Gon' Play" in 2000 and 2002, although the group would break up soon after.

While Naughton and Bailon-Houghton had a feud at the time, they publicly made up in 2017 — and she's since hinted she would be up for a reunion.

There is nothing set," Bailon-Houghton told Entertainment Tonight in 2022. "There is no reunion set. There's nothing like that set up, but I think the most important thing is like, not music, but like, the real life is good. Does that make sense?"

However, she wasn't done with music after 3LW disbanded. She starred in the Disney Channel Original movie "The Cheetah Girls" alongside Raven-Symoné, her 3LW bandmate Kiely Williams, and Sabrina Bryan about a band of the same name. The film spawned two successful sequels, and it imitated life: The girls (minus Raven-Symoné) became a real-life band and released music as The Cheetah Girls.

Bailon-Houghton has continued to act, appearing on "That's So Raven" and its spin-off "Raven's Home," as well as movies such as "Coach Carter" and "I'm In Love With A Church Girl." She also had a fun stint on TV after she appeared on "The Masked Singer" in 2019, ultimately coming in third place.

She's no stranger to hosting, either. As Oprah Magazine noted in 2018, Bailon-Houghton became the first Latina to host a daytime talk show in the United States when she became a co-host on "The Real."

“We thought [the show's popularity and acclaim] wasn't possible for a little show like ours so early on,” she told the outlet. “Now I don't doubt that we can do anything.”

"The Real" ended in 2022 after eight seasons, per Page Six. Bailon-Houghton indicated she was ready for the show to end, though, as she wanted to be in New York full-time with her family instead of heading to Los Angeles to film the show, Entertainment Tonight reported. She also gushed about the possibility of what can come next after "The Real."

"I think now, with the show coming to an end, Jeannie [Mai] and I were just talking about the fact that like, we can't let the concept of the show die, does that make sense?" she said. "We're super excited for the next, like, who's gonna be the next to do it? Who are gonna be the next faces of day time television that are representing for women [of] color?"

Bailon-Houghton is plenty busy these days, it seems. The singer, actress, and host, who once dated Rob Kardashian, is now married to musician Israel Houghton, and they recently had a son together named Ever James.

It was a difficult journey for Bailon-Houghton, who has spoken out about her struggles with a miscarriage and IVF. She ultimately chose to have a baby via surrogate, PEOPLE reported.

"It's an absolute miracle," she told the outlet. "The birthing experience was incredible. We had multiple doulas. I had a doula for me. She had a doula for her that looked after her for aftercare. Same for me, someone that was there for me emotionally, anything that I needed physically. It was a family affair and absolutely beautiful."

Bailon-Houghton, who already acted as a stepmom to Houghton's children from a previous relationship, is hopeful she will have more kids as well.

"That's the ultimate dream for me," she told PEOPLE. "I'm not giving up on that dream. Maybe I will carry one day and I can't wait for that. I'm still hoping for that."

Of course, now she's busy with "Love For The Ages" as well. And thanks to a recent talent and development deal with NBCUniversal, we can be sure she'll be appearing on our screens again soon, too.
