'This Is A Massive Deal': Logan Paul Signs Contract With The WWE
Logan Paul was last in the ring alongside The Miz at WrestleMania 38, where the A-Lister betrayed the YouTube star.
YouTube megastar Logan Paul has officially signed with the WWE after appearing at WrestleMania 38 earlier this year.
Paul took to social media on Thursday where he shared an image of himself at the WWE Headquarters signing the paperwork that makes his new title of Superstar official. The series of images includes Paul posing with his new signed contract alongside Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. The final image in the collection shows Paul calling out his very first WWE rival, star of “Miz & Mrs” Mike “The Miz” Mizanin.
“Coming 4 u @Miz,” reads a sign that Paul is holding up in the final picture.
For those unfamiliar, The Miz and Paul competed against The Mysterios at WrestleMania 38 where they won at The Showcase of the Immortals. However, Paul’s tag-team partner turned on him, delivering a Skull-Crushing Finale. Now it seems Paul is looking to get some revenge, possibly at SummerSlam, according to the WWE’s website.
So far, The Miz has not commented publicly on Paul signing with the WWE. However, he seems optimistic that there are no hard feelings between him and Paul. Days prior to the news of the signing, The Miz was teasing that they would fight alongside each other as a tag-team duo at the upcoming “SummerSlam” event. In fact, mere hours before Paul announced on social media that he is officially a WWE Superstar, The Miz shared images of them at Wrestlemania, writing: “I mean who wouldn’t want to see this tag team again?”
In a brief video from his signing that Paul shared to his Instagram Story, though, he shot down that idea.
“So I just signed my WWE contract with the support of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon,” he said. “This is a massive deal but let’s get one thing straight because I don’t want to get this twisted. I did not sign this contract to team up with the Miz. In fact, I want nothing to do with The Miz. That man is dead to me.”
The social media and YouTube hotshot’s contract is a multi-event deal that will push into 2023, promising appearances in the ring from Paul at multiple WWE premium live events as well as various TV appearances in between, according to ESPN.
