Kyle And Samantha Busch Share Baby Lennix's First Brush With Professional Racing
Baby Lennix was on hand to cheer on her brother, Brexton, and Kyle and Samantha Busch were more than happy to show off the big moment.
As Kyle Busch begins to think about his upcoming transition to Richard Childress Racing, he’s also taking steps to ensure that his family remains in the world of professional racing for generations.
Earlier this week, Kyle and Samantha Busch took to Twitter to share photos of their baby daughter, Lennix, getting up close and personal with a race car for, presumably, the first time in her young life. It wasn’t just any car, it was her older brother’s kart racing vehicle. Lennix was there with her family as they cheered on 7-year-old Brexton Busch during a dirt race on Sunday. Based on the photos, she was loving every minute of it.
“Sunday funday aka race day!” Samantha captioned a series of images. “The whole family was out at the track today which is rare for a Sunday. Brexton won beginner box and finished 4th in box! Lennix finally fits into some shoes and loves cheering on her big brother.”

The images include Brexton with his family on Victory Lane triumphantly holding up a trophy as well as a shot of happy little Lennix cheering him on. Both Samantha and Kyle shared a sweet snap in which dad holds the little girl next to Brexton’s racer as she studies it with the curiosity and intensity that one would expect from someone born into a world-class racing family.
Kyle went on to share a video of Brexton’s big, nail-biting finish on Sunday. It’s good that he’s getting some wins in now as a junior racer since he was handed quite a bright future in NASCAR just days ago.
As the New England Sports Network notes, when his dad signed with RCR officially earlier this month, Richard Childress himself offered young Brexton a “contract option” to join the team when he’s ready. He even gave him a $100 signing bonus. While it was certainly a nice gesture, it’s unlikely the contract will be legally binding since that’s not really how these things work … and Brexton is 7. Still, it was a very cute moment that further solidified the notion that the Busch family is here to stay in motorsports for generations to come.
You can get a look at the ins and outs of Kyle Busch’s professional and personal life on “Race For The Championship” every Thursday at 10/9c on USA Network.
In the meantime, you can catch more NASCAR content on Peacock right now.
