‘I Broke The Rule’: Edgar Apologizes As Gillian Sees His Wild Night With Marissa
Edgar De Santiago had a lot to say after seeing his girlfriend Gillian Lieberman's reaction to his steamy night with Marissa.
On the latest episode of the “Temptation Island After Show,” Edgar De Santiago squirmed in his chair watching his girlfriend, Gillian Lieberman, view a clip at a bonfire of him having sex with Marissa Rodriguez.
In this week’s episode, Gillian was shown how Edgar finally took things to the next level with Marissa. As the men and women sat in their respective groups watching the episode on the “,” Edgar buried his face in his hands and whispered “Oh my god" and “I’m sorry” to no one in particular as he saw his significant other's reaction for the first time.
Meanwhile, Gillian squeezed Iris Jardiel’s hand while Ash Lamiroult and Ashley Rodriguez called the moment “disgusting.”
“I was about to get up and walk away from the bonfire,” Gillian revealed. “I was literally about to be like, ‘I’m sorry guys, I’m leaving ... It’s weird because I still watch that and I’m like, ‘Is that my fault? Did I lead him to do that?’”
Edgar calling the moment “jarring,” which the guys agreed with, noting his night with Marissa was shown in such lengthy detail.
“I did not fully know exactly what was being shown at the bonfire so I wasn’t anticipating any reactions,” Edgar said. “I do think watching the bonfire, for the girls, that Gillian probably felt very uncomfortable having to see that. I feel very sorry that I put her in such an uncomfortable situation.”
Gillian said although she was making connections in the house — otherwise known as showering with Tommy Soltis — she didn’t go all the way with anyone.
“Literally, I’m sitting here watching him hurt me so that he can feel better about himself,” she said. “But it’s like, I felt pain and I didn’t have sex! ... The hard part with Edgar is that he was really, really perfect except for that one time he cheated on me and that one time I took him to ‘Temptation Island.’ Like, he was really, really, really perfect every other time than that.”
Meanwhile, Edgar can only apologize and admit he wasn’t thinking clearly. He even blames the allure of “Temptation Island” for clouding his judgment and making him forget what he had with Gillian.
“Regardless of how I felt about Marissa, I just … I broke the rule and I did not consider Gillian. I did get swept up in the moment, I did get caught up in the island,” he said. “When you take away that communication, I guess you have to bank on the trust you have in the person and I don't think we trusted each other.”
But is it enough to break the college sweethearts up for good? Can they forgive each other for moving on with someone else while on the island? Fans will have to watch the remainder of “Temptation Island” Season 4 to find out.
"Temptation Island" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on USA Network. Catch up now on USA Network.
