Yes, That Is Billy Boyd Back As The Voice Of Glen & Glenda In The 'Chucky' Season 2 Finale

"Lord Of The Rings" star Billy Boyd returned to the "Chucky" franchise as the voice of Glen and Glenda in doll form.

Just when you thought “Chucky” had no more tricks up its sleeve, Season 2 concluded with a Christmas-themed finale filled to the brim with twists, turns, and the return of a fan-favorite character from the movies.

How to Watch

Watch Chucky on the USA app and Peacock.

[SPOILER ALERT]

Technically Glen and Glenda have been around by way of Lachlan Watson’s portrayal pretty much all season. However, after Glen was fatally shot by Nica Pierce (Fiona Dourif) in the penultimate episode, Glenda decided to keep them alive by returning both their souls to the body of the doll they were born in.

Once they were both inside the doll, they declared their new identity as GG, voiced by none other than the incomparable “Lord Of The Rings” star, Billy Boyd, reprising his role from “Seed of Chucky.” That’s right, the Scottish star returned to lend his brilliant voice acting skills to the world of “Chucky” in the finale of Season 2, where he helped tease GG’s future now that they're a supernatural doll once again.

In the scene, Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) helped them update their look from Glen’s purple shirt and black pants they wore in “Seed of Chucky.” They declared they loved their glamorous new look and now want to go by GG, a killer doll with a penchant for turning their glam up to eleven like their “mom,” Jennifer Tilly. In addition to the clothes and makeup, they're hitting that British accent super hard, even though they chose not to use an accent when living in two bodies.

It seems GG wants to get back to their roots by visiting England by themselves. This clearly disappoints their mom, who hoped they’d join her on the run in her quest to transfer her body into a Belle doll now that the actress is wanted for murder, arson, and a host of other crimes.

The episode ends with the reveal that GG is off on their own, likely in Europe. While they may not be talking to Tiffany regularly, they’re calling Nica every week in what is surely a very complicated relationship given that she has now dedicated her life to torturing and killing GG’s mother.
