"Love Actually"
This 2003 romantic comedy from Richard Curtis is always up for debate during December. Is it one of the best Christmas movies around, or is it totally overrated? Either way, "Love Actually," which tells multiple intersecting stories about love, friendship, and family with a Christmas backdrop, has a solid fanbase almost 20 years later.

"Miracle On 34th Street"
Speaking of Christmas classics, "Miracle On 34th Street" has been entertaining families since its release in 1947. The film is about a department store Santa Claus in New York City who might just be the real thing. While there was a remake in more recent years, you just can't beat the original.
"The Best Man Holiday"
Another Christmas movie we love is "The Best Man Holiday," a 2013 sequel to the hit film "The Best Man," which focused on a group of friends in their late 20s grappling with relationships, work, and coming of age. In "The Best Man Holiday," the friends reunite for a Christmas gathering that illuminates both how much has changed between them and how much has stayed the same.
Once you're done, see where the characters are now in the original Peacock miniseries "The Best Man: The Final Chapters," which premieres on Dec. 22.
"Monk"
If you're more in the mood for a special Christmas episode than a whole movie, consider tuning into "Monk." There are plenty of seasonally-appropriate episodes in which the titular character, Adrian Monk, a detective struggling with OCD and various phobias, solves crimes. In Season 4, Episode 9, "Mr. Monk And The Secret Santa," Monk investigates a poisoned Secret Santa gift, while he meets with his estranged father over the holidays in Season 5, Episode 9 "Mr. Monk Meets His Dad." He's accused of killing Santa Claus himself in the 10th episode of the sixth season, "Mr. Monk And The Man Who Shot Santa Claus," while Season 9's "Mr. Monk And The Miracle" is an homage to "It's A Wonderful Life."
"The Grinch Who Stole Christmas"
Do you have kids who are craving something special to watch over the holidays? How about the animated classic "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas"? The movie, based on the Dr. Seuss book, is a heartwarming story about how the magic of Christmas can truly change a person's perspective.
"Harry Potter" Franchise
Fine, the eight "Harry Potter" movies aren't exactly themed around the holidays.
But while the movies follow boy wizard Harry Potter as he duels with the evil Lord Voldemort, they always make time to show the coziness and joy of a Christmas celebration at his school, Hogwarts. There's something about all the candles in the great hall, the snowy exteriors, and the general vibes of the castle that makes any "Harry Potter" film perfect viewing in December.
