Rock Bottom Booping: Becky Lynch And Asuka Return To Monday Night Raw
Becky Lynch and Asuka may be poised to rekindle their rivalry after the "Empress of Tomorrow" upstaged "Big Time Becks" on WWE Raw.
A old rivalry is getting new life after Becky Lynch and Asuka returned to Monday Night Raw.
“Big Time Becks” reappeared on WWE Raw on Monday for the first time since WrestleMania, sporting a short hairdo. Bianca Belair had mangled Lynch’s hair on the final Raw before WrestleMania, cutting her locks as she was out cold (Lynch would go on to lose her Raw Women's Championship to Belair at WrestleMania).
Since then, Lynch has been rocking more of a lob and a style reminiscent of Lady Gaga.
And Lynch seemed to be going a bit "gaga" during Monday’s appearance, all while wearing puffy pleather sleeves and platforms.
Looking visibly upset, Lynch expressed feeling as though she had hit rock bottom since losing her title.
“If I’ve hit rock bottom, then that means there's nowhere else to go but up,” she said, her voice shaky and unstable, while pacing the ring.
She added, before letting out a hysterical laugh, that “this is the beginning of the legendary Becky Lynch comeback.”
While she vowed that nobody would be able to stop her, Asuka made a surprise return to challenge that bold claim.
“The Empress of Tomorrow,” who has not made a WWE appearance since 2021's “Money in the Bank,” screamed her way back into the ring with her fire antics that fans are accustomed to.
“I will stop you,” she told Lynch, before laughing. “Because no one is ready for Asuka.”
She then booped Lynch on the nose, prompting Lynch to attempt a quick attack on her. But Asuka, even in a long fur coat, was too quick. She ducked and soon “Big Time Becks” made a big time retreat out of the ring, leaving Asuka to dance and strut.
The two certainly have a history: in 2020, Lynch ceded her Raw Women's Championship to Asuka after announcing she was pregnant. After Raw, she didn't seem too pleased at being upstaged.
Perhaps this rekindled rivalry will have some legs.
