Blake Shelton Warns You'll Miss Your Flight At New Ole Red In Nashville – & You Won't Even Be Mad
Ahead of the premiere of "Barmageddon," Blake Shelton announced there's a new Ole Red restaurant location offering live music, beer and... breakfast? We're in!
Ahead of the release of USA Network's new celebrity competition series “Barmageddon,” Blake Shelton announced his Ole Red Restaurant in Nashville is expanding. Another location inside the local airport is officially open, promising the same live music and country vibes that only the country singer can deliver.
Shelton took to Instagram on Monday to announce that the much-hyped new location is officially ready to make customers too distracted to remember they’re traveling.
“Hey y’all, this is Blake Shelton and I’m very, very proud to announce that Ole Red at the Nashville International Airport is officially open,” he says in a video. “So, now you can start hanging out with us and missing all your flights. Who doesn’t want to hang out and hear country music and drink beer in an airport?”
The location is open at Concourse C and sits as one of the largest in-airport restaurants out there, according to “The Tennessean.” In 2021, Colin Reed, chairman and CEO of Ryman Hospitality Properties, told the outlet that everyone involved with the new location hopes it will be a good hello and goodbye for people traveling to the city of country music.
“We sort of see this thing as a bloody great billboard and as a way to get the consumer excited when they arrive and to allow them to reflect on the great time they've had when they leave," he said. “We think this can be a memorable experience."
Like the flagship location, which will play home to the upcoming USA Network series “Barmageddon” with Shelton, Carson Daly, and host Nikki Bella, the airport version of Ole Red will focus heavily on the music customers can enjoy while they eat some classic Southern dishes.
Unlike the flagship location, though, Ole Red in the airport offers a robust breakfast menu for those starting their day at the airport. But don’t worry if you’re a fan of Ole Red: Classic menu staples such as the nachos and brisket sandwich are still there.
So, those hoping to get a dose of Ole Red now have two options when they come to visit Nashville. Meanwhile, those at home will be able to get a good look at the bar when "Barmageddon" premieres. Shelton recently explained that his goal for “Barmageddon” is to find the “world’s greatest bar athletes” — also known as “barthletes,” as he puts it. So fans will be able to test out their bar muster — even if they won't be able to play the soon-to-be-iconic bar games with a twist — at Ole Red in between braving the friendly skies.
