Wendi McLendon-Covey portrays Joyce on the new NBC comedy "St. Denis Medical."
McLendon-Covey recently concluded her impressive 10-season run starring on ABC's "The Goldbergs," a milestone marked by two Critics Choice nominations. Notably, at the time of its conclusion, "The Goldbergs" stood as the longest-running network comedy currently on air.
McLendon-Covey is a veteran of more than 40 movies, including films such as "Bridesmaids," "What Men Want" and "Blended," as well as indies that include "Hello, My Name Is Doris," "Blush" and "Paint."
On the animation side, McLendon-Covey is currently recurring on "Grimsburg" on FOX and "Big City Greens" on Disney+, and appears in "Big City Greens the Movie: Spacecation" on the Disney Channel and Disney+. Previous voiceover roles include Pixar's Oscar-nominated film "Elemental," "Bob's Burgers," "M.O.D.O.K." and "Solar Opposites."
Prior TV work includes "Reno 911," "Modern Family," "Rules of Engagement," "The Office" and "Unstable." She also recently hosted HGTV's special "Frozen in Design," now streaming on Max.
McLendon-Covey got her start at the Groundlings Theatre in Los Angeles. She currently resides in Long Beach with her husband of 27 years and seven rescue cats.
